29 August, 2024| TRC has officially published a new type approval instructions with new major changes. The new instructions adopted by TRC is issued in Arabic and will come into force as of the date 15 September 2024 with the following new major changes: 

 1.  Certificate Validity  :  1 Year. (it was 3 years).

2.  Label shall be affixed by one of the following ways :

• physically and/or electronically on the product and/or the outer package.
• On the user manual and/or the device operating system.

3. Exemptions: the following products are exempted from mandatory type approval:

• Printers, copiers, monitors, Desktop computers, Wired and wireless cameras that do not include any high power radio functions. 
• Short range devices that support Bluetooth technology only.  
• Satellite television receivers 
• Wired phones which has not support any radio communications module.
